Light transforms any material, and glass is no exception. The look of a lamp or sconce changes dramatically when it is lit: colors come alive and surfaces shimmer. Glass diffuses the light and enlivens its shaped patterns. In these lamps and sconces, glass offers beauty and in certain designs, a structural component. For example, in my lamp design ”A Wire Runs Throught It”, glass carries the wiring from the base to the bulb and supports the entire weight of the bulb and shade. I have found glass especially versatile and beautiful in lighting applications. All of the glass I use is from recycled bottles. I look forward to further experimentation and discovery of new designs. Contact me if you have a particular design variation you would like made or select from the designs below.
